I Felt That. Poetry

In this I Felt That. Poetry. The shift between fear and happiness. Light rising like a sunrise. Already a few hints of brightness. I felt my thoughts and spirit shift.

I breathe the measured breath of thought.

Everyone chases after the
quick, spontaneous kind of
self-gratification that’s like
fireworks’ colorful lights.

Those are just bright colors
that fade fast. I don’t want that.

I want to see the fog linger
just enough to watch the sun
filter light particles through the tall
grouping of pine trees.

Just enough to hear my
heartbeat slow, softly.
Feel the breeze moving in
and around each one.

Return to my first breath as
a human and awaken a
harmony and balance of
feeling alive.

Where there is no time,
no schedules, and yet, every
creature is able to
teach me something.

Scan the outline of the morning. Trees, sky, and pavement. Light filtering like transition. Already a few visuals coming forth before my eyes. My breaths measured in the mist of dawn.

Everyone should feel as if they carry light. – Linda J Wolff

The spirit ignites the light inside the soul. To feel its tiny fluttering there, as though a small bird of joy.

Minutes pass, I see the clarity of the silhouette of a red tailed hawk blot the blue in the sky as it flies south. It makes soft screeching sounds as it soars overhead. The squirrel looks above.

If you ever feel the need to share how you feel, I’m here for you.

Be safe. Be well.

Sending love and light always from my soul to yours,

sincrely,

Linda J Wolff
